Dancing against powerlessness
With a lively electronic melody and harsh dance beat, Leipzig:Void wins me over across the board. Sure, the lyrics of ‘Last Dance’ are a bit thin when we philosophise about waking up in a strange body, but in this particular case, that's absolutely fine with me. The track is consistently produced for the dark dance floor, and that's exactly where it can shine brightly.
Listening to it and watching the video, I am reminded of Trisomie 21 and ‘The Last Song’, but combined with the electronic energy of ‘Last Dance’ by VNV Nation. The song has strong dark wave influences and has integrated these special sounds accordingly. A powerful piece against external powerlessness. Sounds interesting, doesn't it?
