I am the founder and main author of the international synth pop magazine Electrozombies, which was founded in 2010 as a niché music video blog for synth pop and genre-related music. Since my childhood I have been a devotee of melancholic, gloomy electronic music. Started in the late 70s with minimal electro band Kraftwerk and become a real synth pop fan through Depeche Mode's hit 'People Are People' in 1984.
With my knowledge being almost 40 years in the synth pop scene I write and publish all about this music genre to keep the scene alive and to develop it further. Read all details here: The story behind the origin of Electrozombies.
Professional graphic designer and kid of the 90ies. My love for music started when I was just able to climb out of my pen and steal my parents' favourite tapes. Sucking up everything I could in the 80ies brought me to love punk, metal, grunge and goth in the 90ies. Love carries on, but horizons widen. Now I care about everything exceptional, unique and I'm sure always in for a good party!
Illustrator, music journalist, and lover of all genres, much of my life has been spent reveling in the surprisingly long and intimate relationship between synth pop and industrial music. There are few things I love more than digging for underground music gems and building genre-based Spotify playlists.
A real-life gardener and passionate synth pop fan since he was a boy back in the 80s.
I always had an affinity for words, the sound of language and the ability to say something clever in a flippant way. That is why I love pop songs with good lyrics and why I started writing myself. Because I can neither play an instrument, no sing, writing lyrics without songs did not really get me anywhere but I also write Urban Fantasy and Victorian Murder Mysteries. Music remains of the greatest passions in my life though and I am happy to combine music and writing now for Electrozombies!
I’m most likely to listen to anything from 80s synth pop, dark wave, electropop and a bit of house and italo pop for good measure.
