With a slow but dominant beat, the ballad 'Déjà Vu' by the Swedish band 'Pineapple The Project' marches straight into 90s ears. At least musically it reminds me strongly of this decade. The song is already very close to commercial pop for me and that would almost have been the knock-out criterion. But the sound and beat of the drums and the sprinkled synth effects finally convinced me.
I find it funny that the intro somehow reminds me of the song 'Need You Tonight' by 'INXS'. This is my musical 'Déjà Vu' of the song. So be open minded and listen to the song from 'Pineapple The Project'.
