Agnis from Poland presents ‘Wicked Witch’, a catchy synth pop and dark pop song that I got into sur­pris­ingly quickly. The com­pos­i­tion won me over imme­di­ately because it is abso­lutely catchy and sounds var­ied through­out without being arti­fi­cially com­plic­ated. This is a qual­ity that is often sought after in this genre and def­in­itely found here.

The press release's ref­er­ence to sim­il­ar artists such as Nyxx, Ashbury Heights and Omnimar not only reads like a who's who of the scene, but also accur­ately describes the music­al clas­si­fic­a­tion. However, when listen­ing to it, I am per­son­ally some­what reminded of Miss FD's ‘Love Magick’. For me, both songs have a very sim­il­ar char­ac­ter that exerts a dark fas­cin­a­tion. When Agnis demands ‘Don't try to tame me’ in the lyr­ics, this atti­tude becomes tan­gible. For me, one thing is cer­tain: these two tracks are per­fect for a Halloween playl­ist to cre­ate just the right mood. If you want to be seduced by a ‘Wicked Witch’, you've come to the right place.
