The song has a great upbeat tempo and despite the modern aesthetic, you can clearly hear that retro charm of the 80s in the vibes and atmosphere. Personally, I'm not a big fan of guitar sounds, especially not funky sounding guitars, but here I don't find them that annoying as the synth beat really carries you along. The mixing is also flawless and super professional.

Toronto synth-pop band Secret Sign is releasing their new single, ‘Starbody,’ alongside a psychedelic music video, on Wednesday, December 14. The disco-inspired track is the first recording to be released off the band’s upcoming ‘Notions’ EP.
Band members Danny Alexander (guitar), Kaila Moon (vocals), and Christine Stoesser (keyboards) are seen performing in the cosmic-themed video, filmed by producer, video artist, and fourth band member, Phil Baljeu (bass). To shoot the video, Baljeu re-created an 80s TV studio setup which he processed afterwards using analog video synths of his own design, resulting in an ultra-retro aesthetic.
