Electrorock with stardust
With ‘Comet’, Tears Before Bedtime deliver a wonderful electrorock track that surges forward with plenty of energy right from the very first second. Vocally, the track instantly transports me to a wonderfully authentic 80s atmosphere, where the synthesisers work brilliantly and lend the track its driving character.
The only thing is that, for my taste, the electric guitars in the bridge come through a little too harshly and end up sounding a bit overpowering. However, this hardly detracts from the excellent overall impression. The song is composed with precision, avoids any unnecessary padding and impressively demonstrates just how captivating modern electrorock can sound.
