"1996 Expectations": Synthwave energy with a dark flair
Madeline Goldstein's "1996 Expectations" is a successful homage to the dark side of synth pop. The track starts powerfully with dominant claps and a deep bassline that immediately puts you in an atmospheric synthwave mood. The vocals fit seamlessly into the dark, sexy atmosphere, although the vocal effects could be a bit too intense at times.
