Gloomy, art-like, nostalgic: ‘Subterranean World’ by Blone Noble
Admittedly, ‘Subterranean World’ by Blone Noble isn’t the kind of catchy synth pop we usually feature on Electrozombies, but it’s precisely this departure from the norm that makes it so appealing. This track by the US band has an artful, deeply melancholic quality that gripped me straight away. The atmosphere exudes pure longing and deep emotion, perfectly matching the bleak lyrics about an uncompromising descent into an alien world.
Amidst the hectic pace of everyday music, this song feels like a desert island in the sea: a track you simply need to wind down. The chosen mid-tempo proves ideal, whilst the synths are spot on. Even the rather prominent bass guitar blends in superbly, lending the whole thing a wonderfully nostalgic touch.

Lyrics of "Blone Noble – Subterranean World"
I'm blind
Chasing your song
Toward a violent end
I'm crashing on your rocks
I'm dying
In your Subterranean World
Geranium eye
Kiss of the poison flower
I can't pretend
I want to disappear
Wild fear appears
In my naked lizard mind
Chasing down
The truth of eternity
It's looking good
So good I don't wanna breathe
I'm dying
In your Subterranean World
Geranium eye
Kiss of the poison flower
I will descend
Disgraceful depths
You're jungle death
A weird centipede
You're everything
Crawling underneath
I'm willing to go
Get eaten alive
I'll die alone
Penniless in a whorehouse for you
I'm dying
In your Subterranean World
Geranium eye
Kiss of the poison flower
I'll die
In your Subterranean World
Fuck it all to hell
I'm in love with you
I can't pretend
In your Subterranean World
Your geranium eyes
Kiss me with your poison flower
I'm like the Initiates of Old
In some bizarre
Occult ritual
I'll descend
I'll go to ancient Greece for you
