No room for saviours: Camp Crush settle the score with the devil
The bassline in the intro grabs me straight away and exudes strong synthwave vibes, even though Camp Crush tend to operate in the lighter end of the dark pop spectrum. I’m particularly fascinated by the vocals: to me, it sounds a bit like Madonna for the goth scene. This impression is reinforced especially in the chorus, though I’d also draw clear parallels with Nuovo Testamento here.
In keeping with the lyrical breakaway from toxic people, the music video is extremely atmospheric and scores points for its handmade feel. The drums are a slight let-down for me: they seem a touch too ‘organic’ – I would have liked a bit more punch for the overall sound. Nevertheless, a strong piece of dark pop music.

Lyrics of "Camp Crush – Good Girls Never Die"
I was a bride in white dress
Good girls never die
At least that’s what you said
Until I wound up dead in your eyes
Ooh who’s that you’re praying for
Ooh don’t say my name anymore
Ooh you’ve got the devil on your tongue
Ooh You just pretend he isn’t one
Heaven has no room for saviors
You were black sheep renegade
A priest for better days
At least that’s what you said
Until you took the red pill for pleasure
Ooh who’s that you’re praying for
Ooh don’t say my name anymore
Ooh you’ve got the devil on your tongue
Ooh You just pretend he isn’t one
Heaven has no room for saviors
Ooh I thought that love was free
Ooh don’t lay your hands on me
Ooh The devil’s at the door
Ooh, Don’t say say my name anymore
Heaven has no room for saviors
