A tip for Project Pitchfork fans
The new synth pop track ‘Cassandra’ by John X Belmonte has reached me from the USA. If I had to categorise the track, the comparison would be extremely easy: stylistically, the song sounds like a typical Project Pitchfork track, with everything that goes with it.
The soundscape is consistently electronic. It captivates with deep sounds and driving beats that set the rhythm uncompromisingly. Even though the production is solid, I have to say that personally I would have liked a little more variety in the course of the song and fewer vocal effects on the voice in places. However, that shouldn't detract from the overall impression, because the target audience is clearly defined. Anyone who likes Project Pitchfork will certainly enjoy listening to this song.
