Analogue nostalgia meets pop perfection
I think that, despite its pop sensibilities, “All That I See” is a fantastic contribution to the otherwise rather melancholic world of synth pop. The collaboration between Computerbandit and Contrapop really doesn’t put a foot wrong here: I hear rich synths and a truly lovely 80s vibe, which captivates above all through that nostalgic, analogue synthesiser sound.
Sonically, the track skilfully hovers between lighter electro pop and some modern synthwave elements. The German duo manage to bridge the gap between the warmth of old hardware and contemporary structures without losing their catchiness. An all-round successful track that exudes just the right dose of nostalgia.
