Dark synth pop with ice-cold clarity
The track is by no means perfect, but it doesn't do much wrong either. What immediately grabs me here is this dark synth pop vibe, which somehow comes across as cool. The beat is pleasantly crisp and the sound is delightfully varied, which makes the song easy to listen to. Vocally, there is still room for improvement, but the cool atmosphere actually fits the story behind ‘Zero After You’ quite well.
Thematically, it's about the moment after emotional manipulation, when the coldness stands not for aggression, but for regained control. When diarBlack sings that the hatred is ‘cold and clean’, you can feel this process of self-determination. I believe there is still a lot of potential behind this project and diarBlack is definitely one to watch.

Lyrics of "diarBlack – Zero After You"
You walk in, fake smile, dead eyes
Sweet little lies, well-disguised
Play innocent, cut me slow
Every word hits like a blow
You think you’re sharp, think you won
But I see cracks under your skin
I used to care, I used to stay
Now I watch you fade away
Still in my head, like a scar
I don’t want you — but here you are
It’s nice to hate you — feels so right
Found my calm in the after-fight
I don’t need you, I don’t need the pain
It’s nice to hate you — say your name
Nice to hate you — cold and clean
You’re nothing now, just noise to me
3x nice to hate you
Cold and Clean
You thought I’d break, lose control
But I rebuilt what you stole
See your games in black and white
You lost me — that’s your fight
Still pretending you pull the strings
But I cut you out of everything
No rewind, no second chance
This is where I end the dance
Your name means nothing now
Your voice can’t reach me now
All the power that you had
Died with everything we had
I don’t fix what you destroyed
I survived — you lost the void
It’s nice to hate you — feels so clean
Like a wound that finally bleeds
I don’t need you, I don’t need your lies
It’s nice to hate you — dead inside
Nice to hate you — let you go
I’m the fire, you’re the smoke
Keep your smile.
Keep your mask.
I don’t look back.
I don’t collapse.
It’s nice to hate you.
But I chose myself.
