Sebastian Clarin – The Weight Of A Circle

Between vulnerability and aggression

Sebastian Clarin - The Weight Of A CircleFrom Sweden comes Sebastian Clarins' ‘The Weight Of A Circle’, a piece of atmospheric and beautiful synth pop that comes across with a lot of feeling and a touch of nostalgia. The soulful vocals blend harmoniously into the overall composition and gently carry the listener through the track.

The chorus is particularly emotional for me: when the lines ‘This place is done / you better watch your tongue’ are sung, the feeling moves somewhere between deeply hurt and passively aggressive. This ambivalence gives the track a certain sharpness beneath its soft surface. Overall, the song has a very calm character. For me, it is therefore less suitable for the club and more for listening to alone in quiet moments. A truly successful piece of music.
