‘Soju’ by Wolfbabycup imme­di­ately cast a spell over me. The song com­bines a dreamy beat struc­ture with a clear, catchy melody. It's the romantic mood that par­tic­u­larly impresses me – it doesn't come across as cheesy, but eleg­ant and thoughtful.

The female vocals are gentle, almost like a touch that wraps itself around you. Especially in lines like "Somewhere, we're still hold­ing on", I can feel the bit­ter­sweet mel­an­choly that is at the heart of the song. The lyr­ics seem like a look into the soul, a reflec­tion on loss, long­ing and what con­nects us in life – and per­haps beyond.
