The track begins right away with beau­ti­ful, quirky synth sounds. It sounds incred­ibly excit­ing from the very start and instantly makes me curi­ous about what fol­lows. Alongside the rather typ­ic­al synth pop sound, the track car­ries a notice­ably strong dark wave and goth­ic vibe.

After listen­ing to it sev­er­al times, the true nature of the song unfolds: to me, the whole thing sounds like a mod­ern, elec­tron­ic ver­sion of a James Bond soundtrack. It is super strange some­how, but that is exactly what makes it so appeal­ing. The vocals blend in per­fectly. They are won­der­fully soft and emo­tion­ally excit­ing, which grip­pingly con­veys the dark lyr­ics about obses­sion and being a shad­ow. An abso­lutely fas­cin­at­ing piece of work from Australia!
