Somewhere in the music genre world between syn­thwave and dream pop you find the extremely crisp song 'Seed Of Doubt' by US artist 'Madeline Goldstein'. Dark, dance­able and com­pas­sion­ate are my first asso­ci­ations as I listen to the song for the first time. The song is taken from the EP 'Other World'.

The heav­enly sound­ing vocals float lightly like a feath­er over the sound con­struct. Whereby I hon­estly have to say that the vocal effects are just on the edge of accept­ab­il­ity for me. But for­tu­nately the voice tends more towards nat­ur­al than the oth­er way round. But the ingeni­ous sound and the fant­ast­ic mas­ter­ing make up for that pretty well and it just fits together.

Seed of Doubt is the first song off my upcom­ing EP, Other World – an pro­ject that speaks to the rest­less­ness of ali­en­a­tion and isol­a­tion, the long­ing to move, to feel power, and to flee. It pulls from the influ­ence of femme 80s icons, and strides to carve its' own path in the grow­ing dark wave / new wave scene.
