The song ‘Diamond Drug’ by the Tiber Twins has exactly that elec­tri­fy­ing groove that imme­di­ately gets into your body. I quickly notice how the lively beat lit­er­ally forces me to dance, and at the same time, the sim­pli­city of the song keeps it won­der­fully catchy and har­mo­ni­ous.

I find the vocals par­tic­u­larly strong, some­times solo, some­times in duet. They sound warm, pleas­ant and are per­fectly embed­ded in the mix. This is where I see the real qual­ity: the mas­ter­ing is so har­mo­ni­ous that no sound cov­ers the oth­ers, but all ele­ments are allowed to shine side by side.

What also grabs me is the clear 80s synth-pop aes­thet­ic that car­ries the song. This is also reflec­ted in the cov­er art­work.
