With the crisp uptempo song 'Revalue The Time', the German synth pop band '12 Illusions' manages to get an entry on Electrozombies. The band already presented their debut single 'The Juggler' in December. However, it only made it into our Spotify playlist 'New Synth Pop Songs 2022'. The word 'only' should not relativise the song, it just didn't convince me 100%. The current song 'Revalue The Time' is much better and more independent in my opinion.
The band has great role models like Depeche Mode, Erasure, Rotersand and Wolfsheim, just to name a few. But just listen for yourself and see if you agree with these idols. 12 Illusions about 'Revalue The Time'
This is the second single of 12ILLUSIONS, a newly-launched German dark electro pop band.
Leading members are Georg Lenhardt, drummer & percussionist of DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER, and Arno Zillmer, lead singer of his eponymous group. These musicians create an emotive musical cocktail characterized by progressive rhythms, catchy synthesizer lines and atmospheric guitars which paired with a dark but shimmery voice. The band draws inspiration from the likes of Depeche Mode, And One, Wolfsheim, VNV Nation… just to name a few.
12 ILLUSIONS is injecting original creativity into the pop-wave genre. For millions, this era is the time of their lives!
