Hallows and the Speed of Love
Hallows' new song is more of a mid-tempo ballad, mainly due to the powerful emotions it conveys. While the Americans hit the 80s with a fast-paced pop sound on "Wear You Out", "This Love" feels very much in the present. The track features a stripped-down, intimate arrangement that makes the transience of life palpable – lyrically underscored by lines like "Time does not wait". I was particularly taken with the chorus lines "This love feels so fast to me / So fast to me". I really like the song because it touches me emotionally. Admittedly, it's a real slow burner. It took me several listens before I was completely convinced. But once I was, it just felt right.

Souls still dreaming
Time does not slow
And life
It runs away
The sun returns
It’s never the same
Time does not wait
This little bit of life
It walks alone
This love feels so fast to me
So fast to me
This love feels so fast to me
So fast to me
Walk into the past
Just to begin from then
To fall and rise
And to fall again
This love feels so fast to me
So fast to me
This love feels so fast to me
So fast to me
Your love feels so fast to me
Nothing more to do
The world moves on
All we tried to hold
To dust and gone
Watch it drift again
Like it never was there
Lost without a trace
This tiny flame inside
Must carry on
Distance in the eyes
We talk in dreams
And I
Can’t escape
Can’t escape
This love feels so fast to me
So fast to me
Walk into the past
Just to begin from then
To fall and rise
And to fall again
This love feels so fast to me
So fast to me
This love feels so fast to me
So fast to me
Your love feels so fast to me
