If you define your own music genre, you will at least be found online right away (if the search volume is right), but back to the song.
The verses are nice and dirty and almost tend towards industrial. With weird disturbing noise effects and a crisp beat, we are on our way in a dark genre. In contrast, the chorus itself is super soft and (dark) pop-like. With a lot of "Hey Hey" and a very catchy anthem sound. However, this is not to be judged as bad. I like the song because it flirts nicely with various genres, but overall keeps commercial pop at a distance.
