The song by Dance My Darling goes exactly in this dir­ec­tion, and the intro with its sweep­ing syn­thes­izers and deep bass imme­di­ately cre­ates a feel­ing of mys­ter­i­ous oppres­sion. The elec­tron­ic pulse that runs through the song is strongly remin­is­cent of bands like "Diary Of Dreams", while the drum­ming seems a bit more clas­sic­al and less syn­thet­ic – a suc­cess­ful mix that gives the piece addi­tion­al depth.

Musically, "Sofia" impresses with its skil­ful struc­ture. The elec­tron­ic ele­ments are present without appear­ing over­loaded, leav­ing enough space for the vocals and lyr­ics. The par­al­lels to "Diorama" and "Deine Lakaien" can­not be over­heard, but Dance My Darling man­ages to cre­ate its own hyp­not­ic sound world that draws the listen­er deep into the dark night.
