From the very first bar, Dlina Volny's ‘Bliss’ leaves me in no doubt: something is happening here that cannot be clearly categorised, and that is precisely what makes it so appealing. Even before the lyrics begin, I sense this shifting feeling between quiet tension and weightless serenity.

The exciting thing about ‘Bliss’ is precisely this interplay: to me, it sounds like a song that creates its own twilight and lingers in it with relish. What surprises me most when listening is how consistently Dlina Volny pursues different sonic directions. The production is electronic, but always remains warm – nothing seems sterile or overdone.

What immediately catches my ear is the unmistakably soft, almost embracing vocals. They lay like a velvety veil over the song and yet offer no security. On the contrary: precisely because the vocals seem so close and tangible, a subtle sense of unease remains. The line "Captured in the light, Spectre of my mind" clearly reflects this feeling, in my opinion – a clinging to something fleeting, coupled with the question of whether one will ever arrive at all.
