We all love a good cover version and 'Electric Sol' hit the bull's eye with their interpretation of 'Dream Of Me', originally by 'Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark' (OMD). The song has enough recognition value to the original, but the band has managed to transport it wonderfully into the year 2023.
The new version of 'Dream Of Me' is fantastic and fresh. The driving and punchy drums and catchy bassline make you want to bop along immediately. The vocals are sensitive and carry the message of the song perfectly. 'Electric Sol' has managed to keep the mood of the original, but still add their own touch. The band has done a great job here for OMD fans and I can only bow to this successful cover version.
