The sound in the intro of ‘God's Eye’ already feels threat­en­ing, like some­thing straight out of a ten­sion thrill­er. A dark bass­line and rich, dry synths set the stage before the vocals kick in, instantly shift­ing the focus to that rap­id sequence of words that imme­di­ately sticks in your head.

Lyrically, this breath­less­ness per­fectly reflects a deep dis­or­i­ent­a­tion and the feel­ing of a trau­mat­ised, para­lysed body. The chor­us then breaks open beau­ti­fully, bring­ing a light and catchy breeze into an oth­er­wise very dark sound. Every now and then, you catch a few clas­sic future pop sounds here and there, and these add a lovely bit of vari­ety to this Swedish synth pop track. An abso­lutely power­ful, driv­ing banger!
