Not an Opinion, but Electro-Punk Attitude: Fat Hamster & KANG New
I have to admit: The song doesn't immediately grab me. But something about "Opinion" by Fat Hamster and KANG New held my attention. While the sharp synthesizers and the electro-punk attitude set the tone, it's primarily the female vocals that captivate me. They strongly remind me of bands like Robots In Disguise or Le Tigre.
Without the vocals, which hurl a scathing "Shut the fuck up" at the haters, the track would just be a soulless electro song. But it's precisely this snotty attitude that enriches the song enormously. After two or three listens, you really start to like it. Incidentally, I just realized I don't have an electro-punk playlist on Spotify – I need to remedy that immediately.
