Dark synth banger with a massive bass blanket
I have to admit, Omar Doom (aka Straight Razor) hooked me straight away with his new track, 'Reflections'. The song lays down an extremely bass-heavy and dark blanket of sound over a bloody catchy beat. The whole thing breathes that typical goth and dark wave atmosphere, but comes across completely, fully electric, and that is exactly how I like it.
In the chorus, wonderfully beautiful, quirky synthesiser sounds blend into the mix. Vocally, Omar gets first-rate support here from Arnaud Rebotini, which gives the track additional depth. Things really kick into high gear in the second half, where all the recorded synth effects and little surprises just blast right in. For me, 'Reflections' is an absolute banger of a song, which is also perfectly accompanied by an incredibly atmospheric music video.
