An unpolished jewel
The 'Indicator' is now quite a few years back and 'Deine Lakaien' presents the 'Crystal Palace'. Since the band has always staggers experimentel between Synthpop and Darkwave, each new album is always a bit of a surprise.
'Crystal Palace' is a well done album with an easy listening access for 'Deine Lakaien' standards. There is almost nothing to complain about.
Close to catchy
The track by track rating almost looks like a wave curve of a highly dynamic song. The songs with the highest peaks are 'Farewell', 'Crystal Palace', and 'Why The Stars'. All those catchy song plus the 4‑Star rated songs 'The Ride' and 'Those Hills' are scattered on the album. Maybe a pattern to hide the weaker songs?
I'm sure that the dedicated fan will love the whole album. For me personally is 'Crystal Palace' the best 'Deine Lakaien' album, since 'Kasmodiah'.
