A dark adrenaline rush that brings you to life
With “Alive”, Views From Space deliver a wonderfully snappy dark wave track that scores highly with plenty of interesting synth sounds. For me, this is the ideal track for that dark vibe in between. I was particularly impressed by the song structure: the transitions are extremely varied and skilfully integrated – technically, it’s simply top-notch.
In keeping with the lyrics about the longing to feel alive again, nostalgic 80s textures build up into a hypnotic anthem. My only wish would be for the vocals to be a little stronger and clearer; for my taste, they almost get lost a bit in the otherwise really well-produced soundscape.
