Lakeside X – Lifeline

'Lifeline' is a punchy synth pop single by the band 'Lakeside X' taken from the album 'Love Disappears'. The guys from the Czech Republic com­bines here mel­an­choly with a dance­able beat that I nat­ur­ally love.

The basic beat has the pres­sure, the tempo and the crisp­ness, is sim­il­ar to 'Soothe My Soul' by Depeche Mode. So for me, the basic set-up is already per­fect! I don't refer to a great like Depeche Mode without reas­on or care­lessly. This song is def­in­itely in the same league as that of our British syn­thes­izer her­oes. In terms of ton­al­ity, the song hov­ers some­where between 'Sounds Of The Universe' and 'Delta Machine'. So it's rather mod­ern, gritty and beau­ti­fully grimy.

I already liked the single 'Rising' released in March, for which we pub­lished a music video post. But I think the song 'Lifeline' blows up a little more nos­tal­gic sound­ing synth fire­works. It's just a bit crisper and more pro­found. I expect great things from the upcom­ing album 'Love Disappears'. Be sure to keep the band 'Lakeside X' on your radar!
